Watch House Cross (10/11f) completed consecutive Wexford wins today, landing th August 11th Ladies Day Novice Chase for trainer Henry De Bromhead, jockey Mike O’Connor and owners Sunday Racing & R M Kelleher Partnership.
The six-year-old improved to lead with a circuit to race and in the end had no trouble beating three-years-older Saldier successful in the 2021 Galway Hurdle, by 15 lengths.
Jockey O’Connor commented “he’s a nice horse and I ride him out about once a week. He did it well today and jumping is his forte. It’s after sharpening up from the last day as well.
“His jumping is so good I thought there was no point in restraining him. He’s a forward going horse and I felt it was best to let him enjoy himself.”
