Mulgrave gained consecutive Wednesday wins at Dundalk today, completing a double for his trainer John McConnell in the View Restaurant At Dundalk Handicap (div I).
The son of Mehmas was raised 10lbs for last week's eased down success and was made work harder today, under Donagh O'Connor, as he edged left in the final furlong before eventually beating Miss Cunning by a length and a quarter.
McConnell had earlier registered a 50th yearly win with the Seamie Heffernan partnered No Trouble and stated “I'm delighted and he backed it up. I was worried about coming back so quickly but it was a good opportunity and he seems progressive.
“Hopefully we don't get clobbered too much and we'll be back here in the New Year.
“Blankiedoodie (third-placed in the race) ran a cracker as well for an old horse, I'm delighted with the two of them.”
