Confusion returns as Savello doubles up
Organisedconfusion made his seasonal reappearance in the Christmas Party At Fairyhouse Maiden Hurdle at Fairyhouse today, but the Irish Grand National winner had to settle for third place behind the Ruby Walsh ridden Savello
Savello took up the lead four out but came under pressure in the straight as Staying Article and then Organisedconfusion came to challenge. Organisedconfusion’s, who was staying on stoutly, challenge came to an end with an untidy jump at final flight, leaving Savello to score a three parts of a length win over Staying Article.
Afterwards winning trainer John Berry stated “Savello will probably be left off now until the new year and he’ll come back around March. He is a stone better on better ground, is only a five year old but will make a good chaser. We won’t go over fences until next season though.”
Organisedconfusion’s trainer Arthur Moore was pleased with his gelding’s performance, saying “I’m very happy with that run. We’ll find a winners’ of one over hurdles for him again now and we haven’t yet decided whether we’ll aim him at the Irish or Aintree Grand National yet.”
