Jumping proved the name of the game as Collen Beag got the better of fellow 7/2 chance Miss Dinamic in the mares' maiden hurdle at Tramore.
Jonathan Burke sent the five-year-old to the front before halfway in this two-mile event, although Bryan Cooper was always in close pursuit aboard Miss Dinamic.
However Gordon Elliott's charge was far from fluent two out and made a hash of the last as Colleen Beag jumped cleanly.
The David O'Brien-trained winner kept on well on the run-in to score by a length and three quarters, with Thinklike A Shrink another six and a half lengths away in third.
The 5/4 favourite The Brock Inn was in trouble approaching the penultimate flight, and couldn't find any extra eventually finishing sixth.
OâBrien said, âShe likes a bit of nice ground so sheâll go for all those novice hurdles. Itâs great for her owners who have been very loyal.â
