Coakley incident referred on for further investigation
Charles Coakley current trainer of Charging Indian has been referred on to the Turf Club for further investigation when the Stewards received a report from Mark Carroll Turf Club Security Officer concerning the circumstances surrounding the exact establishment from the which Charging Indian had been trained from and despatched from for this meeting.
Charging Indian was only returned in training with Coakley prior to the time of declaration for this race having been originally in training with JP McAllen on the Curragh and also that the horse had at no time been transferred from the Curragh to his licensed training establishment between that time and up to and including his arrival at Galway today.
The Stewards ordered that the horse be withdrawn from the race today and referred the matter on for further investigation.
