Six to four favourite Coach Bombay made it back to back wins when victorious in division two of the Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk Handicap.
Now five times a winner, Fran Berry always had Coach Bombay in the pace-setting role, and after taking over approaching the straight he asserted from over a furlong out.
Coach Bombay crossed the line with a length and three parts in hand over Jessamine
"The way he's been working he's like a different horse - his pace and everything. We haven't killed him with runs and he has really come to life," said winning trainer Adrian Joyce.
"He's a versatile horse and it's great for his owner Sean (Dalton). He's been a great owner for me and the two horses I've had for him have both won.
"He needs a few weeks between runs so we'll be in no panic to run him back quickly. Once he comes out of the race well we'll make a plan."
