Cloudy Morning completed his hat-trick in good style when claiming the Loch Garman Handicap Hurdle at Wexford. Zipporah made a bold bid from the front in the three-mile event but was claimed by Cloudy Morning turning for home.
Declan Queally ’s charge asserted before the final flight, under Barry Browne, to record a nine length success over For Sinead who kept on for second without looking a threat.
The 6/1 winner was repeating his success over course and distance last month having also won previously at Clonmel.
"He has turned inside out. He was a bit of a monkey when we got him, we varied things around with him, we brought him to the beach and different gallops and he seemed to enjoy it. He is improving away,” said the trainer’s son and namesake.
"He might go to Leopardstown for a staying race with a lower weight. The ground will be good there, so we'll see.
"Things are going great, we had another winner on Sunday in a point-to-point. We have ten horses in and room for a few more."
Another son of the trainer, Flat jockey Tom, was also in attendance to see the win.
