The Dot Love trained All The Mollies overcame the outside draw in 15 to win the opening Exchange Inn & Kevin Broderick's Bar Handicap at Listowel today, scoring under jockey Killian Leonard
The daughter of Intense Focus made light of her poor draw and soon raced prominently. Leonard moved the winner to the front before the home straight and in the end the filly stayed on gamely to hold off top weight Keep Believing by a neck.
Afterwards Ciaran Murphy, assistant to the winning trainer, stated “we are really pleased with that and took the chance today, as we had her in tomorrow too.
“She handles that ground really well and while it’s probably not far enough for her, on that ground it was a test and was ok. There’ll be another one in her now and we might go to Galway next week and there might be an option or two at Dundalk over the winter.”
He added “we got her from Ado McGuinness and he did a really good job with her and she’s had two very good runs for us now. She was well claimed for E10,000 by Louis Conway (at Ballinrobe in June), who is head of the Go Golfin Syndicate so fair play to him.”
