Jessica Harrington is hopeful Oscars Well can get back on the winning trail in the Race That Stops A County 'Thyestes Jan 23rd 2014' Chase at Gowran Park.
The dual Grade One-winning hurdler has so far not reached the same heights over fences, but was not disgraced when fourth behind Rolling Aces in a Grade Two contest at Down Royal at the start of the month.
Harrington said: "As horses get older they get a bit cuter and with the very small field we're putting the cheek-pieces on. I just hope they go a nice gallop for him. Looking at the ratings, you'd be hopeful he'd have every chance."
Oscars Well faces just three rivals in the two-and-a-half-mile contest.
Henry de Bromhead saddles Buckers Bridge Tony Martin runs the hat-trick-seeking Savello and Noel Meade's Blue Cannon completes the quartet.
