The 20% Online Discount Beginners Chase was won by the Charlie Swan trained Checkpointcharlie ridden by Denis Hogan and owned by JP McManus.

Swan's other runner in the race Boulvogue the 13/8 favourite could only manage third.

Swan said afterwards, "His 3 parts brother Teeming Rain won yesterday at Exeter. He is a big baby and we have done a lot of schooling with him. That's great but was a bit of a surprise."
