The Shane Nolan trained Charlie Stout gained a second win in his last three starts when landing the Irish Jockeys Association Handicap Hurdle at Naas today, under jockey Eamonn Corbett.
The son of Spadoun arrived to challenge Lagostovegas at the final flight and in the end battled gamely to fend off that rival, for a head win/
Afterwards Nolan stated “he did it well enough in the end - he was entitled to win on the back of his run the last day as the first and second have run well since.
“He doesn’t mind that ground and he’ll go for something similar next - he’s in at Down Royal on Tuesday just in case but I doubt he’ll run now. He could step up in trip as he stays further.”
