Champion finally gets there
Dream Champion finally made the breakthrough at the fifteenth attempt over fences when coming home fourteen lengths clear of the veteran outsider Bumble Beet (had made a bold bid) in the Sean Graham Bookmakers Steeplechase.
Robbie Colgan did the steering on the son of Fraam for Tony Martin and he took over from Bumble Beet after two out before racing to a comprehensive victory. The well-backed 11/10 favourite, Carsonstown Boy never got competitive and he ended up a further three lengths back in third.
There was plenty of grief in this two and a half miler with six of the fourteen that set out not completing.
