Champagne Or Water has given connections a reason to celebrate in each of the last three years and gained her third career win in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Handicap at Gowran today.
Willie McCreery trained five year old mare made most of the running, under Bill Lee, for her length win over stablemate Colour Blue
Afterwards winning trainer Willie McCreery stated “she's been training well and is in good form and a little bit of juice in the ground helped. She's a big, strong, honest mare who can probably carry weight a bit better than Colour Blue.
"It's difficult to find suitable races for these type of mares, and I hate seeing one of mine beat the other."
Champagne Or Water's previous wins were at Sligo in May, 2014 and at the Curragh last July.
