Chalky White gained a second career win today at Limerick, landing the Mr. Binman Handicap Chase for trainer James Dullea and bridging a gap of nine months between notable wins.
The son of Getaway landed a gamble in a Thurles handicap hurdle last March and today gained his first chase win when denying Damut by four lengths.
Afterwards winning jocket Brian Hayes reported “James (Dullea) is at Leopardstown and I'm delighted for him as he is underrated trainer with a small string of horses down in west Cork — he does a super job with them.
“He is a progressive type of horse and he hit form the last day in Clonmel. James picked out this race for him but I thought it mightn't be the right race for him but in fairness he stuck to his guns and he was spot on.
“He handles winter ground and jumps like a bunny.”
