Just Cause bounced back to form when running out a convincing winner of the Fleet Connect Handicap Hurdle at Fairyhouse.
The 16/1 shot was produced to lead two from home by Jack Kennedy and looked to be edging the battle with Sonny B when that rival blundered away his rider at the last.
The Mouse Morris-trained gelding kept on strongly in the closing stages to post a three-and-a-quarter length victory.
The Court Cave gelding had pulled up on his last outing at Thurles in January and Morris explained:-
"He lost two shoes in Thurles the last day and the ground was a big help today.
"He's just been weak and backward. He's 16-3.
"I'll talk to the lads now about plans. It was Eddie (O'Leary) who ask me to run him here today as he said the ground was going to be good."
11/4 favourite Isleofhopendreams fell at the third flight.
