Those that helped to make Cash Or Casualty the 11/10 favourite for division one of the Eva Tech Ltd Handicap at Bellewstown, had a few seconds of anxiety, but ultimately he made virtually all in the near mile event.
By hanging out into the centre under Donagh O'Connor, Cash Or Casualty opened the door for his rivals in the final two furlongs. Busy Bush strongly pressed the Damian English winner a furlong out, but the now nine time winner went on to prevail by a length and three parts.
"He definitely deserved that," remarked English.
"He's gone up 5lb for his last two runs, so we decided to claim off him. My father (Joe) sponsors the race so it's worked out well. He could go to Laytown and then on to Listowel."
