The Stewards interviewed Barry Cash, rider of Native Clan (FR), concerning the use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider who stated that the horse idled with him when he got to the front and he had used his whip to keep him going.

Having viewed the video of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Barry Cash had used his whip excessively and therefore suspended him from riding for 2 racedays.
