- Carroll doubles-up on Bravely Fought
Carroll doubles-up on Bravely Fought
Sabrina Harty, who bought Bravely Fought for 7,500 from Moyglare Stud Farm at Goffs in 2008, has got a tremendous tune out of the five-year-old and he defied top-weight to give his rider, Gary Carroll a 134/1 double (earlier successful on One Of Three in the July Mallow Town Race Night Handicap.
Partnering his fifth winner of the campaign, Carroll got Bravely Fought (winning his third race for Harty and his third under last year's champion apprentice) home by two lengths from Art Broker
A delighted Harty, who trains the winner for the Dolittle Syndicate, said: "He might go for a maiden hurdle now. He is a gutsy horse and we love him - he is such a pet. That's his third win for us and he ran a cracker in Goodwood last year.
"He got stronger physically over the winter and he had a little wind-op before Christmas as well which was a little help."
