Paul Carberry recorded a double this afternoon after winning The Irish Yearbook Handicap Chase aboard the Noel Meade trained Island Life for owners Mrs O'Brien and Eamon McElroy.

Carberry raced his mount in behind the leaders, made progress approaching straight, led before 2 out and kept on well to win comfortably by 2 ? lengths.

Carberry's earlier winner came aboard the Tony Martin trained Another Ambition after winning The Thomastown Handicap Hurdle.
