Carberry at her best in Tramore
Sutherland Star from the Charlie Swan stable followed up on his recent win at Bellewstown when he ran out a cosy 5 length winner of the opening race on this evening’s card, the Deise Evening At Tramore Festival Ladies Maiden in the hands of Nina Carberry.
Carberry raced the Definite Article gelding in behind the leaders before the pair took up the lead over 5f out and kept on well to hold off the late effort of Megans Joy from the Colm Murphy stable by 5 lengths.
Winning jockey Carberry said afterwards: “He stayed on well and he’ll probably go hurdling soon.”
