Carberry and Meade win opener
The opening race this afternoon, The Hibernian Insurance Maiden Hurdle was won by the Noel Meade trained Fisher Bridge ridden by Paul Carberry for owners the P.R Syndicate.
Meade said afterwards, "We thought he'd win last time he ran but he was sick. Walter Swinburn had him in England and we bought him at the sales last October. I think he'll make a decent novice and he seems to be a lot stronger since he last ran."
