Capture The Action stayed on gamely in the closing stages to land the spoils in the Holycross Handicap Hurdle at Thurles.
Jimmy Mangan 's charge came to fight it out with Caridadi after the second last where Gondor had crashed out in front.
Capture The Action gained the advantage with a good jump at the final flight and went on to record a three-and-a-quarter length win under Sean O'Keeffe.
Well backed 9/2 favourite Satin Sun (12/1 this morning) finished off well to grab the runner-up spot at the line.
Capture The Action went to post a 9/1 shot. She had won at Gowran early last month but had finished mid-division on her two most recent outings.
"She usually doesn't handle that ground but he kept her good and wide early on and it paid dividends when he went for her,” said Mangan.
"She jumped great for him and he gets on great with her.
"I thought when she went out of the 0-95 bracket she would be labouring but I'm delighted.
"She won a point to point so there is a chance she will jump fences around Tramore or some place easy."
