The opening race this afternoon at Leopardstown, The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden Hurdle was won by the gambled on Mask Of Darkness (10/1 - 4/1) of Charles Byrnes, ridden by Paddy Flood and owned by the trainers brother Pat Byrnes.

Winning trainer Byrnes said afterwards, "We bred her ourselves and he's the last foal out of the mare. We will probably go chasing with him next season."
