Byrnes in double form at Punchestown
Charles Byrnes completed a double when Pittoni landed the Celebrate New Year's Eve At Punchestown 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle in the hands of Brian Byrnes.
Byrnes who was sitting in sixth entering the straight kept on strongly from the last to lead on the line and deny Soldier Bay by a head.
Winning trainer Byrnes briefly commented: "He'll go for a winner's of one somewhere next. We'll have to have a look."
Byrnes earlier winner came when The Dew At Night landed the Buy Annual Membership 2010 Handicap Chase.
