Butler has Another Winner
Shane Butler rode his first winner on Seamus Fahey's Market Watcher at Kilbeggan on July 18th, and he made it two for the same trainer on Randall's Diana in the Leo McMorrow Memorial Handicap Hurdle at Sligo.
This mare was a maiden coming into this two miler, after twenty one attempts, many of those with her previous trainer, Mark Loughnane, for whom she was placed. The daughter of Monashee Mountain (had a winner with Tellhimnow in the three-year-old hurdle at Roscommon on Monday) led before two out and she kept on well under pressure from the last to fend off My True Romance and Lucky Spring
The dam of Randall's Diana, Altiyna, is a half-sister to disqualified Oaks winner, Aliysa and this is also the family of Alamshar. (EM)
