Burke points the way with Case Study
The opening INH Stallion Owners EBF Maiden Hurdle at Naas today went to the Liam Burke trained Case Study the only horse the Co Cork trainer has for owners Gigginstown House Stud.
The son of Flemensfirth tracked the leaders before moving to the front three out, eventually staying on well to defeat frustrating 5/6f Cadspeed by seven lengths.
Afterwards Burke stated “Case Study has broken down in the past and his legs aren't very good. We needed to be very patient with him and I withdrew him due to the frosty ground at Limerick over Christmas.”
He added “Case Study won a point to point as a five year old and we'll now aim him at a winners' of one race, although chasing is his long-term game.”
