Bulgadin Lady gained a second career success at the Curragh today as the Johnny Feane trained filly landed a gamble to win the Order Of Malta Handicap under Colin Keane.
The daughter of Zoffany was backed from 9/1 generally this morning in to 5/1 joint favourite and in the race, was produced from off the pace under a well timed challenge, before scoring a neck win over Best Destination
Bulgadin Lady had previously won at Limerick last October and following today’s win, Feane commented “she has been a bit disappointing this year but Michael (O’Mahony, owner/breeder from Springwell Stud, Kilmallock) has always had plenty of faith and she has loads of ability and put it all together today.
“She handles that ground but can be a bit tricky and takes a bit of a time between her races.”
