Queens Brook bounced back from a disappointing defeat on her return to action last month, as she ran out a comfortable winner of the Listed Frontline Security Grabel Mares Hurdle.
Second at the highest level in the Mares' Hurdle at Cheltenham in March, she finished third to surprise winner Rebel Ivy at Limerick last month, with Heaven Help Us splitting the pair.
The Bective Stud owned bay turned the tables on the latter this afternoon, with six lengths separating them at the line.
Completing a quick double for Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy, the Shirocco victor was settled in second and improved into a narrow lead from three out, stretching clear when ridden on the run-in.
.Heaven Help Us (5/2), who made errors jumping, had to settle for second after attempting to make all, while Copper Nation (6/1) was another 11-lengths back in third.
"I was happy with her and thought it was a good performance," Elliott said.
"I can't get her fit and you can see the size of her again today. We're kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place not being fit and she probably wants further.
"I said to Jack that we have to make use of her and hopefully her class comes out. I'd say the last day (in Limerick) the ground was horrible.
"She'll only have one or two more runs between now and Cheltenham."
