Khan Tengri maintained the good recent run of trainer Oliver Brady when showing the benefit of much patience from connections to win the Roscommon Handicap Hurdle at Roscommon today.
Ridden by Ben Dalton, the son of Sadler's Well moved to the front, along the rail, before the final flight and eventually ran out the seven lengths winner over City Line
Popular Brady, who is recuperating from illness, was not present but his assistant Anthony McCann mentioned “Oliver will be delighted with that and is doing well and hopes to come racing in the next few weeks.
“Khan Tengri did it well and the blinkers helped too as he didn't carry it though at Sligo the last day. The boss always felt he had ability and persevered with him with three wind operations – that was the reason for his long layoff before this season.”
“Hopefully this is another step up for him and we'll try and find a novice handicap next.”
