- Bostons causes shock in Fort Leney Chase
Bostons causes shock in Fort Leney Chase
Bostons Angel provided a 14/1 shock in the three mile Grade 1 novice chase at Leopardstown. Although the six-year-old gelding was sent off a big price (16/1 – 14/1) the win didn’t come as a surprise to trainer Jessica Harrington.
She said: “He couldn’t go with them over two miles four furlongs in the Drinmore but Robert (Power) jumped off and said to go for three miles. He doesn’t have a quick pickup but he is a galloper and today was a slog. He needs three miles in that class. He will go on good ground though.” Quito De La Roque filled the runners up berth three parts of a length back at 10/3. He was heavily backed down from a morning show of 8/1. Western Charmer rewarded each way punters by taking third place at 20/1.
Bostons Angel and Quito De La Roque were introduced into the RSA chase at Cheltenham at 16/1 by Boylesports. Paddy Power go 33/1 about Bostons Angel for the RSA.
