Gallery Man a shock winner at Bellewstown last July, again proved a decent result for the bookmakers when he showed the greatest reserves of stamina to beat Ball Of Blue by half a length in the Cork Racecourse Mallow Handicap Hurdle.
The victorious grey edged in on top of Ball Of Blue on the run-in but there was never any danger of him losing the race in the steward's room.
Val O'Brien trains the winner for his brother Sean and he said of the Conor O'Farrell ridden winner: "The three miles was a help and so was the better ground. He'll go for a similar race next."
