"He's a nice horse and ran green. He was drawn badly and did well to win. Ryan (Moore) was happy with him," explained Aidan O'Brien as Ryan Moore returned to the fray in Ireland to land the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden (Plus 10) on first-timer Hit It A Bomb (2/1 favourite).
"The Racing Post Trophy may come a bit quick but we'll see how he comes out of this first. If he'd had a run (earlier) he could have been a Dewhurst horse," added the Ballydoyle maestro.
"He handled that ground but he's a War Front and would like some nice ground."
The Mrs Stockwell-owned Hit It A Bomb only had his neck verdict over Agent Of Chaos confirmed after a steward's enquiry (general bunching in its nature).
Only about a length and three parts covered the first six home, that position going to Dermot Weld's Munaashid
That one contracted into a starting price of 5/2 from 6/1 earlier in the day.
The Stewards enquired into possible interference close to the line involving Agent Of Chaos (GB), ridden by G.F.Carroll, placed second, Cook Islands ridden by J.P. O'Brien, placed fourth and Hit It A Bomb (USA), ridden by R.L. Moore, placed first, where it appeared Agent Of Chaos (GB) ran short of room.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action.
R.P. Cleary, rider of S P B Lucky trained by Tracey Collins, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount met with interference in running.
Gary Paul Halpin, rider of Pick Of Any trained by Ms. Sheila Lavery, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount lost its action in the final furlong.
