Bolger's Stylish One upsets the favourite
Stylish One sealed a 14/1 upset in the opening seven furlong fillies’ maiden at Leopardstown as she prevailed by a neck over 11/10 hot favourite Eva’s Time from the Dermot Weld stable.
Kevin Manning was always holding the runner-up at bay as the winning post loomed. Bolger was delighted with his filly. He said: “The soft ground first time out didn’t suit her. The ground made a difference today.
“This has been a lucky race for us. She has done well to win that. That may be her for the year but I might enter her in a listed race next week.” Quaintly who was well-backed on course finished third, three parts of a length back under Johnny Murtagh at 6/1. Brooklyn Rose came home fourth.
