On her first outing since October and on her initial try in handicap company, Dream Of Words (Kevin Manning up) came out on top in the Paulstown Handicap at Gowran.
The home-bred Jim Bolger runner went off at odds of 14/1 and she was switched left to challenge two furlongs out having chased the leaders through the seven furlong event.
The chestnut daughter of Dream Ahead then led a furlong out on the way to a one length dismissal of joint favourite, Playa Blanca
Dream Of Words and Playa Blanca drew on by six lengths from the third home, Downtown Diva
"She had a little bit of form last year and has strengthened up over the long winter. She handled the ground well," said Bolger.
