The Jim Bolger trained Burning Bullet made a winning debut in the opening Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden at Navan today, scoring under stable jockey Kevin Manning.
The Mubarak Al Naemi owned colt raced behind the leaders before quickening well on the stands' side to lead inside the final furlong for a half length win over Aspar
Ger Flynn representing Jim Bolger, later commented "Kevin (Manning) said he was a bit green and a bit raw. There was plenty of pace on with the two in front, and he was caught a bit early on.
"He could step up to six or seven furlongs. He's got a great attitude, and was going away at the line."
