Bolger/Manning win with willing Drive Time
Trainer Jim Bolger mentioned some fanciful plans for his Drive Time which proved a very game winner of the three runner 1m6f John Buckley Auctioneers Killarney Race at Killarney today.
Owned by Tyrone's dual-All Ireland winning footballer Peter Canavan, the son of King Cugat made all, and although jockey Kevin Manning was hard at work from halfway, he responded willingly to score a two and a half lengths win over Red Rock Canyon and Elyaadi
Bolger was absent but was represented by assistant Ger Flynn who reported “I was talking to the boss (Bolger) by phone and he mentioned that this horse is 'on the market' and will win the two miles Champion Chase some day!”
Flynn added “Drive Time will probably head to Galway now although we're not entirely sure which race he'll contest.”
