Bolger doubles up with Panstarr

Jim Bolger doubled up at the Curragh today when Panstarr claimed the concluding Irish Stallion Farms EBF Northfields Handicap.
Rory Cleary bounced out and made all on the 8/1 shot in the €150,000 ten furlong contest.
The Godolphin filly drifted left under pressure when asked for an effort passing the two pole but stuck on gamely in the closing stages.
7/2 favourite Mawaany ran on well in the final furlong but could only get within a neck of the winner at the line.
Panstarr was recording her third career success and following up a win at Gowran last month.
“It was good. To win any race this weekend is nice,” said Bolger.
“Rory gave her a terrific ride and he is a star. I think she handles any ground but handles that ground well anyway.
“She's entered at Listowel (in a Listed race on Wednesday) but may not get there this week.”
Bolger had earlier enjoyed Group 1 success with the impressive Verbal Dexterity
