Bog Warrior wins Fairyhouse finale
Trainer Tony Martin, out of luck with Gift Of Dgab in the opener, gained compensation in the concluding O’Doherty’s Audio & Visual Bumper at Fairyhouse today when his Bog Warrior made a winning debut.
Ridden by Derek O’Connor, the son of Strategic Choice battle gamely to eventually see off the challenge of Burn And Turn
Afterwards Martin said “the only reason I chose to run him in a bumper was because he had a little bit of leg trouble before – otherwise I’d have gone for a novice hurdle because he jumps great. He is a real old fashioned chaser and to win a bumper was a bonus.”
