Bobs breaks chasing duck
Bobs Display gained a deserved success over fences when running out a game winner of the beginners chase at Clonmel.
Colm Murphy 's charge had been placed on four starts over fences this season but made no mistake this time.
The 2/1 favourite was sent on before the second last by Colin Motherway and looked set for an easy victory.
The daughter of Bob Back got in close at the last, however, losing momentum and had to pull out all the stops on the run-in to repel the challenge of 25/1 shot Scouting Party by half-a-length
"It's nice to get it and we'll maybe try and get some black type with her. She's a nice broodmare prospect," said Murphy afterwards.
The winner cost €72,000 as a three-year-old at Goffs Land Rover Sale. She is a half-sister to useful performers Carlesimo and Kevkat.
Her dam, Diamond Display, won six on the Flat and is a half-sister to Listed winner Nordic Pageant.
