Blue Eyed Miss leads the field a merry dance
Owner trainer Jim Gorman saw his mare Blue Eyed Miss step up on the promise shown over course and distance last month when taking the one mile handicap at Dundalk.
She ran out the 8/1 winner by three parts of a length from Maunsells Duke who was sporting first-time blinkers. 5/1 joint favourite Petit Chou was back in third.
The other 5/1 joint favourite, Princess Soricha was withdrawn at the start for refusing to load the stalls. She had been the subject of heavy support from 9/1.
Trainer Gorman said: "She was very fast over five and six furlongs in England. She ran well over a mile last time and that seems to be her trip. She'll come back here as she is better on the all weather."
