Grand National history maker Rachael Blackmore is back in domestic action at Fairyhouse this afternoon with six mounts on an eight race card which is set to begin at 3.40.
Blackmore trails the currently sidelined Paul Townend by ten (95 plays 85) in the race to be champion jockey. Paddy Power have Townend as their 4/7 favourite to retain his title with Blackmore at 5/4.
Three of her rides today are for National hero Minella Times' trainer, Henry de Bromhead. She also takes spins for Mouse Morris, Tom Mullins and Des Donovan. Fangio De Vassy (5/6), Barney Stinson (100/30), Rock Chica (8/1), Raya Time (9/4), Somptueux (7/2) and An Marcach (4/1) are likely to prove popular with punters as Blackmore continues to ride the crest of a wave.
Following 1.5mm of rain in the last 24 hours the going at Fairyhouse remains good to yielding with a mainly dry weather forecast.
