Binocular breaks duck in opener
Binocular broke his duck when landing the opening Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Claiming Race at Clonmel under Chris Geoghegan.
Pat Flynn 's gelding, who was available at 12/1 in the morning was well supported and was sent off 7/2 second favourite.
The five-year-old hit the front under two furlongs out and kept on well to score by three-lengths from Mutakarrim
"He's a nice little horse but he's very small. I thought this was a nice race for him today," said Flynn.
