The Crowne Plaza Hotel Dundalk Maiden saw Big Dream (28s into 16/1 before the off) make all the running under dual-purpose rider Jonathan Moore to win in the colours of Rita Shah.
The Oasis Dream gelding, sporting a tongue-tie for the first time, kept going well in the straight to see off the challenge of Je T’ai Porte (5/2) by three quarters of a length with the reserve Bora Bora (8/1) another three and a half lengths away in third.
Moore had travelled from Down Royal having had two rides over hurdles there this afternoon.
The winner had one unplaced run for Roger Charlton before being bought by present connections for 2,500 guineas at the July Sales.
Winning trainer Anthony McCann said: “We bought him at the sales, we were told he wasn't a bad horse and to take a chance on him. He's very well bred.
“He worked up here four weeks ago and he worked very well and then again last Thursday and he went very well again.
“We're very happy with him and he's a nice horse. We didn't think he'd do it as well as he did but we think he had a bit of ability.
“It's great for Jonny to get back on the board, he's back riding out for me every day. It's great to get him back on the Flat.
“We had a poor run up north today with a horse we think a lot of (Simply Shabra) so I wasn't really expecting that.
“He'll come on so much for that, as it's only his second run. Jonny said he was pulling himself up passing the horse gate, went again and was then pulling himself up at the line."
