Bettyville provides Croke and My Betty with another success

Ten year old mare My Betty registered her third career win at Wexford today as the Peter Croke trained mare landed the Rosslare (Mares) Handicap Hurdle under amateur jockey Harley Dunne.
The daughter of Definite Article lost her maiden status in July 2014 when winning a Southwell mares' hurdle under Tony McCoy and today was bridging a near two-year gap between wins, having gained her 'middle' win at this same Bettyville Park venue in June 2016.
Croke later stated “she has been working very well at home and has always been a good mare. Last year she did well early on before she lost her way a little bit. She wasn't getting her ground but she got it today.
"She won over fences here before and got put up nine pounds. She will probably struggle a bit over fences now, but I'm delighted with the win today anyway."
Croke indicated that My Betty may be covered in the coming weeks and said "we'll see before making any plans. She is a diamond of a mare to have, and just thanks to her owner and everyone involved with her."
