Berg Bahn causes a surprise
The Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden caused somewhat of a surprise when 25/1 shot Berg Bahn from the Ger Lyons stable came home in front under Keagan Latham.
The daughter of Big Bad Bob was held up early and stayed on well to lead inside the final furlong for a three parts of a length win over Dainty from the David Wachman stable.
Winning trainer Lyons stated afterwards: “Patrick Cooper manager of Anamoine Ltd and Ms Bettina have looked after me well since I started training and it’s great to have a winner for them.”
“Ms Bettina races and breeds all of her own horses. This filly is by Big Bad Bob and they are all lovely genuine and honest horses. Everything we’ve ran by Big Bad Bob has either won or been placed.”
“In times like this, it’s great to have such wonderful owners and they really don’t get enough credit.”
