Beggy doubles up on Stars
Padraig Beggy had a day to remember at the Curragh on Sunday when he completed a 135/1 double by getting Knock Stars home by a length in the concluding Jack & Jill Foundation Nursery Handicap.
Beggy had earlier won on Ballivor for Bill Farrell and here he got Knock Stars (running back quickly after finishing second in Down Royal on Friday night) up to beat Long Time Coming
Martin remarked afterwards: "She deserved that as she has got there too early before. She is very effective on the ground and she will stick to six furlongs now. She has an engine though running back quick was a concern. She is from the same family as Indiana Gal though she is not as good as her."
Knock Stars slipped up after the line in Down Royal on Friday night but Tom Brennan's juvenile was obviously none the worse.
