Days Ahead provided jockey Shay Barry with a double at Tramore today when winning the @tramoreraces On Twitter Beginners Steeplechase for trainer Eoin Doyle.
Barry, leading jockey at the track in recent years, got the better of front runner The Folkes Choice from the last for a neck win.
Afterwards trainer Doyle stated “Tramore has been a lucky place for me and that was badly wanted. We have had a good few placed horses but we're just finding it hard to get one over the line recently.
“Days Ahead is still a bit green jumping-wise but all-in-all he did it well.
“He was a good juvenile hurdler earlier in his career but has had his wind done since then; he is still well handicapped on the Flat.”
