Skyace galloped her rivals into the ground to land the Support The Irish Injured Jockeys Hurdle at Gowran Park in fine style this afternoon.
The Westerner mare was picked up for only £600 by 'Shark' Hanlon at the sales last November and is now two from two for her new trainer.
Jody McGarvey had the 10/1 shot to the fore throughout in the two-and-a-half mile contest and she had her rivals off the bridle jumping the second last.
The five-year-old stayed on strongly to assert before the final flight and record a eight length success over Dame De Ruban 11/10 favourite Politicise was five lengths back in third.
Hanlon said:- “I’m kind of surprised. I knew she was good but I didn’t think she would do anything like that. Ever since I got her she’s after going the right way.
“I’ve no real plan where she will go next. Galway is a bit too close.
“It’s great to have her and Dime A Dozen. They are two good mares to have.”
