Aughwilliam Lady claims opener at Clonmel
County Wexford trainer Martina Anne Doran saddled 12/1 shot Aughwilliam Lady to take the opening Cluain Meala Maiden Hurdle at Clonmel this evening.
John Cullen who was doing the steering took up the lead in between the final two flights and kept on strongly from the last to record a three and a half length win over the fast finishing Millrock Lady
A delighted Doran said afterwards: “She loved the ground and she jumped brilliantly. She’s a very straight forward mare.”
“She has progressed well from the last day, we’ve no plans and she might have one more run before we give her a break.”
