Armaramak now Galway bound
Armaramak owned by the Galway-based Cathedral Syndicate now has Ballybrit as his objective after landing the 22nd July Twilight Racing Beginners Steeplechase under Andrew McNamara at Limerick.
McNamara, who earlier picked up a 5-day ban for failing to weigh in on the second placed Golden Grimshaw in the opener, got his mount up in the last hundred yards to beat Celtic Strand by three parts of a length.
Well-backed even money favourite Turf War was in big trouble after not meeting the third last right and he eventually had to settle for fifth.
Winning trainer Edward O'Grady nominated a winners event at Galway as the six-year-old's objective.
